The absorption of advanced UV-radiation by ozone is a continuous method which can be used for the determination of the ozone concentration in the gas or liquid phase. Ozone has an absorption band with a molecular extinction coefficient of 3024 dm3/cm·mol in gas phase and due to the broadening of absorption band a smaller molar extinction coefficient in the water phase (DIN 19627). Anseros developed the Ozone-Analyzer GM-6000-SC for precise measuring the ozone concentration. The full digital unit is a single-beam NDUV-Photometer without moving parts for on-line monitoring of ozone concentration. In order to make monitoring indications comparable the concentration is given in g(O3 )/Nm , g(O3 )/m. All ozone devices are made in Germany and CE-approved by Anseros.

Advanced ozone production with double-walled JENA quartz plasma discharge modules using high frequency generated by innovative IGBT devices. The ozone gas output is completely free of metallic particles and thus suitable for clean technologies like semiconductor and medical processes. The efficiency of the AOP technologies is amazing, especially for waste water oxidation in combination with AOPR pipe reactors. This is due to a mass transfer rate 10 times higher compared to classic ozone generators. The TCO are zero since no seals are built in and the discharge modules cannot be affected by any corrosion. As a consequence, the device is maintenance-free and ready for a long operation lifecycle. Fouling of electrodes and a decline of the ozone capacity is impossible. Doping gases, like N2, Ar, or others are not required. Any kind and quality of carrier gas can be used – dry air, humidified air, ambient air, oxygen from SEP/PSA-systems or pure oxygen (any class) from cylinder.

In semiconductor processing in particular, a completely clean ozone system is required. Any metals and particles emitted from the ozone system onto to the semiconductor surfaces during processing (Wafer/IMEC/RCA/SOM, etc.) affect the quality of the microchip. Including their components – as for example the ozone generator COM-AD or the ozone monitor WM –, the Anseros Water Systems PAP-SC are entirely free of metals in contact with ozone. They are ready for clean wet and dry processing, regardless if with or without acids. To ensure safety, the PAP-SC system includes an ozone destroyer CAT-HO.

Ozone is very heat-sensitive. It can be destroyed very fast at high temperatures. The outgoing energy is used to heat up the ingoing gas. Due to an innovative insulator, the energy consumption is almost reduced to zero. The feed gas can contain organics as well as acids. Rinsing of tanks is allowed, the system is suitable for clean processes. No metals and particles are emitted by the system. The destroyer is maintenance-free and made for a long operation life.
