KF vacuum components consist of an O-ring mounted on a centering ring, and positioned between two flanges. The flanges are aligned and secured using clamp with single nut. This connecting method allows quick and easy assembly without any tool. Claw clamp or bulkhead clamp are used when mounting a KF flange on a base plate. The standard size for KF components are from nominal size KF10 to KF50.

ISO vacuum components are used for larger connections from nominal size ISO63 to ISO630. There are two different methods of joining the flanges together, by using claw clamps (ISO-K) or bolts (ISO-F). ISO-K flanges have a groove cut into the back of the flange where the claw clamp can be hooked on. ISO-F flanges have flat mating surface and holes allowing two flanges to be joined and tightened together using bolts. A rotatable flange paired with split retainer ring is used when the ISO-F flange need to be oriented to certain direction.
