Applied Materials is the world’s leading semiconductor and display equipment company. Singapore serves as the regional headquarters of Applied Materials in Southeast Asia. Applied established its presence in Singapore in 1991 and it has grown from a sales and service office to a strategic hub for the company in the region. Its teams in Singapore support diverse functions across manufacturing, R&D and corporate functions, and lead Applied’s customer support services in Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore.
Applied Materials is one of the largest contributors of output and employment to Singapore’s semiconductor equipment industry. In 2019, Applied Materials was bestowed the Distinguished Partner in Progress Award by the Singapore Economic Development Board for the company’s significant economic and community contributions to Singapore.
