To support the rapidly expanding demand of semiconductor market, STRATUS’ Hybrid AMHS is specifically designed to substantially increase throughput while halving initial and running costs. Hybrid AMHS combines all the advantages of Conveyor, Overhead Hoist Transport (OHT) and overhead storage (buffer shelves) in a single system where the Conveyor performs interbay transfers while OHT serves for intrabay transfers which requires direct loading/unloading of the carriers. Overhead buffer shelves provide overhead WIP storage and near tool buffer for carriers pending to be processed. Alternatively, STRATUS provides multiple Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) solutions which caters for either massive capacity, multi-level, or overhead storage requirements. All STRATUS products are controlled by STRATUS’ in-house Transport Control System (TCS), IntelliMove – a smart control system packed with carrier real-time tracking and dynamic rerouting.

    Features:

    Extremely High Throughput

    -Since most distances are covered by either interbay or intrabay conveyors which is constantly moving, massive throughput and consistent delivery time can be achieved with minimal movement of OHT; thus reducing the probability of bottlenecks during transfers unlike OHT-only systems.

    Low Initial & Running Cost

    -Less than half the number of OHT is required due to its low running distance as it serves only intrabay direct loading/unloading transfers. With its simple track design combined with a low voltage wireless power system, the initial cost of the system is significantly lower than that of traditional OHT-only system. The cost of ownership of the system is low as OHT workload is extremely low and the conveyors are quasi-maintenance free.-

    Zero Floor-Standing Stocker

    - Abundant overhead buffer shelves satisfy entire WIP requirements eliminating the need for any floor-standing stockers.

    Adaptable to Low Ceiling Fabs

    - Despite the two level OHT-Conveyor layout, the minimum ceiling height required is lower than competitor system, thus enabling its use in older low ceiling Fabs.
