Overview

Since the beginning of its rapid development, the Taiwan semiconductor industry has very close ties with the Dutch semiconductor industry through flagship companies like Philips, ASML and NXP and continuous to do so through every element of the value chain. The Dutch semiconductor industry is mainly located in the Eastern and Southern parts of the Netherlands and has its strength in microelectronics; process/technology research, production tools/equipment, electronic components and end user applications and generates an annual turnover of 10 Billion Euro.

This year the Netherlands Pavilion hosts 14 Dutch business delegates and 9 Dutch innovation delegates. The pavilion features technologies and products in the field of front-end chip design, high tech electronics engineering, mems technology, equipment components, and power protection. It also brings projects forwards in the field of photonics Integrated circuit, advanced packaging & heterogenous integration.

The mission of the Netherlands Office Taipei (NLOT) is to promote and support cooperation between Taiwanese and Dutch institutions and companies in the fields of commerce, science, technology, agriculture, and culture as well as to provide a platform for strategic economic cooperation. The Economic Department actively promotes High-Tech Industries trade as one of the Top-Sectors between the Netherlands and Taiwan to Dutch entrepreneurs who want to do business in Taiwan. High-tech industries in the Netherlands are among the most innovative in the world, thanks to state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge research and development. Dutch technological know-how and products are much sought-after and are exported worldwide.
