  • Featuring superior, versatile sensing performance, the Q4X laser distance sensor from Banner Engineering reliably detects sub-millimeter changes in distance and covers a 25 to 610 mm range across multiple target colors, materials, and surfaces. The Q4X is optimal for difficult distance-based sensing applications as it easily detects objects regardless of target surface reflectivity, including black foam on black plastic, black rubber in front of metal, multicolor packaging, clear objects, and targets of all colors.  Additionally, the sensor provides superior resistance to ambient light interference.

    Offering a simplified user experience, the Q4X provides a clear distance readout from the highly visible, angled four-digit display that is easily viewed from multiple vantage points. The Q4X also offers intuitive user setup utilizing three tactile buttons conveniently located below the display.

    For use in wet and high-pressure washdown environments, the Q4X is constructed with robust housing rated to IP69K. Durable FDA-grade stainless steel resists mechanical impact, over tightening and extreme vibration.  The Q4X is also available with IO-Link communication. 

  • Designed to provide reliable long-range detection, the DF-G3 fiber amplifier from Banner Engineering can sense more than 3 meters with opposed mode fibers. The amplifier provides reliable detection for dark targets at long range and enhanced detection sensitivity when using specialty fiber assemblies for large area and small part detection applications.  The DF-G3 amplifier can be used with both plastic and glass fiber optic assemblies.  Models with IO-Link enable a point-to-point communication link between a master device and a sensor, facilitating remote monitoring, teaching, and configuration. 

    Users can also set up the sensor remotely via a multi-function input wire which can be configured to control the LED, gate the amplifier’s output, remote teach the amplifier, or set up a robust cross-talk avoidance ring with up to seven amplifiers to solve dense sensing point applications. The DF-G3 offers a simple interface to ensure easy setup and programming via displays and switches. The easy-to-read dual digital displays show both signal level and threshold simultaneously.

    With expert TEACH and SET functions, the DF-G3 ensures optimal gain and threshold for all applications, but especially for low-contrast applications at long detection range. Users also have full control over all operating parameters, including threshold, light or dark operate, output timing functions, gain level and response speed.

    Featuring energy-efficient light resistance, the DF-G3 provides stable detection in industrial lighting environments. The sensor’s level action fiber clamp ensures stable, reliable and trouble-free fiber clamping.  
  • The QM42VT wireless vibration and temperature monitoring sensor from Banner Engineering continuously measures RMS velocity, high frequency RMS acceleration, and temperature. This enables the sensor to identify machine problems before they become severe and result in unplanned downtime. It also allows facility managers to plan maintenance more efficiently and reduce labor costs by eliminating manual checks.

    Using a proprietary machine learning algorithm, Banner’s condition monitoring solution collects data from the sensor to establish a machine’s vibration baseline and automatically set warning and alarm thresholds.

    When a threshold has been exceeded, the wireless node can provide local indication, send the vibration and temperature data to the gateway for long term collection and analysis, and send a text or email alert. The solution serves as a simple “check engine light” for machines; however, data on a variety of vibration characteristics can also be collected over time for more in-depth analysis of machine performance.

    The wireless vibration and temperature sensor is ideal for a variety of machine monitoring applications, including motors, pumps, blowers and many other types of machines throughout a facility.

    Manufactured with a robust zinc alloy housing, Banner’s wireless vibration and temperature sensor provides reliable performance in harsh environmental conditions. The sensors can be easily mounted using a standard bracket, a magnetic bracket, or a two-sided thermal transfer mounting tape to accommodate diverse applications.
