Overview

Ellwood  manufactures and distributes aluminum in various grades in North America.

Our cast aluminum melting and manufacturing is located in Hubbard, OH

Distribution facilities are located in New Castle, Pennsylvania;  Windsor, Ontario; and Queretaro, Mexico.

Ellwood Aluminum produces:

Ellcast 2 (2618) up to 66” x 168” ranging 1”- 28” thick.

Ellcast 5 (5083) up to 94” x 168” ranging 1”- 48” thick.

Cast Round ingots 10”-32” diameter in 2xxx-7xxx series grades.

Several other aluminum grades are distributed in partnerships with various other mills.

Ellwood’s materials supply the aerospace, semiconductor, automotive, packaging, forging, ring rolling, and medical industries.

  • ELLWOOD TO INVEST IN ALUMINUM TOOLING PLATE PRODUCTION FACILITY

    [New Wilmington, PA, 7-11-24]   ELLWOOD has announced plans for significant investment in its New Wilmington, PA, ELLWOOD SPECIALTY METALS, USA, facility. The investment will allow ELLWOOD Specialty Metals, USA, to produce its own Aluminum Tooling Plate (ATP) to meet its customers’ needs better. 

    The new ATP facility, a testament to ELLWOOD's commitment to innovation, will boast a state-of-the-art, fully automated sawing, machining, quality control, lamination, storage and packaging line. This cutting-edge technology, designed for 'lights-out' production, will significantly reduce operator intervention. With stringent quality control, reliable production, and a vertically integrated raw material supply, the ATP production line will enable ELLWOOD Specialty Metals, USA to offer industry-leading lead times and flexible customer service. This, in turn, will empower our customers to reduce uncertainty and inventory levels, thereby enhancing their operational efficiency.

    The ELLWOOD Aluminum cast house, strategically located in Hubbard, OH, will be the primary source of cast aluminum slab input stock for the new ATP facility. With its ability to supply 2000, 5000, 6000, and 7000-series aluminum cast slab and billet to the most demanding markets and customers, including aerospace and silicon microchip production, ELLWOOD Aluminum is a testament to our commitment to cleanliness, consistency, and chemistry control.   • Ellwood proudly offers MADE IN THE USA 6061 T6 melted, cast, and forged in-house. Ellwood Aluminum in Hubbard, OH, is taking advantage of its modern aluminum cast house to support Ellwood National Forge with input stock to produce 6061 T6 aluminum blocks up to 16" thick for Ellwood Specialty Metals to inventory in their New Castle, PA facility. Ellwood can also make larger custom blocks on a case-by-case basis with very fast lead times.  The 6061 T6 plate and blocks are made to AMS 4027 and ASTM B209 specs.

    Ellwood also uses the same production route to make 6061 T6 Forged Aluminum Rounds from 16.25" - 26" dia, with custom round forging available.  The 6061 T6 Forged Rounds are made to ASTM B247 specs.

    Ellwood Specialty Metals is also stocking domestically made extruded aluminum rounds from 10" to 16" dia.  The 6061 T6 extruded rounds are made to ASTM B221 specs.
