CEIA features security detection devices that specialize in protecting your precious metals, electronic items and electronic components. These items are typically made from non-magnetic metals that register extremely low signals that standard security metal detectors simply cannot detect. Our wide range of solutions include hand held metal detectors, walk-through metal detectors, and the most advanced computer-aided metal screening system on the market as well as liquid analyzer to prevent theft of precious metals dissolved in liquids (e.g. aqua regia).

  • Quick, accurate analysis of all parts of the body of people in transit

    The superior uniformity of the electromagnetic field of the SMD®601 Plus Metal Detector provides very consistent metal detection readings on every transit. This ground-breaking capability allows for individual creation of personal metallic signatures or metallic "profiles".
     

    True metal content profile for the person being screened

    These profiles can be taken while the individual may be wearing non-removable items, like dental works, medical implants, wedding rings and piercings, and are stored in the SMD®601 Plus embedded data base. These personal profiles are used as a reference for every transit carried out by an individual, allowing detection of small targets while ignoring non-removable personal objects.

    The Loss Prevention System developed by CEIA is the only solution available on the market with which you can reliably determine metallic differences between entering and leaving an area by comparing the actual signal with the individual metallic profiling of the controlled person. In contrast to imaging processes such as cameras, Terahertz or X-ray technology, the investment costs along with the training and personnel costs are many times lower. Metallic objects are clearly detected, regardless of whether they are on or in the body. The system can be ideally integrated into your existing processes without spending a lot of time, even with high throughput of people.

    The device can be individually adapted to your needs and detects all metallic objects, even with the smallest dimensions. On the basis of globally valid standards for the detection of objects containing metal, CEIA develops and programs ideal technical solutions for a wide variety of application scenarios. With a high-precision setting, we can detect the smallest quantities of precious metals (e.g. 0.6g silver cylinder), such as those required for the precious metal processing industry. On the other hand, we can also use an adapted setting to detect smartphones or electronic components, as is required, for example, in logistics, production or the sale of electronic products. We are also happy to work with you to define settings on the basis of your targeted objects.

    In addition to the low costs for power consumption (approx. 75 watts), there are no follow-up costs due to the installation of a CEIA Loss Prevention System. You neither need a radiation protection officer nor regular, compulsory training for your staff.

    The PD240CB is a Hand Held Metal Detector that combines high reliability and ergonomics with advanced detection. The device combines long detection range for weapons with minimum metal targets and has high immunity to external metal masses....

  • Elegant, robust and ergonomic

    The PD240CB features a special ergonomic design consisting of an off set hand grip which ensures that the operator’s hand does not interfere with the sensitive detection area. Special care has gone into the mechanical design of the detector.
    Absence of sharp edges or corners allows the detector to be passed smoothly over the inspected area without getting caught in buttons, buckles, folds or other parts of clothing.
     

    Advanced control panel

    The control panel with buttons and warning lights is made from high-thickness silicon guaranteeing a high degree of protection to make the PD240CB suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
     

    NIJ Standard 0602.02 compliant

    The technical features of the detector comply with the NIJ standard 0602.02 and the new NIJ draft standard 0602.03. The PD240CB has uniform sensitivity to magnetic and nonmagnetic targets including those made of stainless steel. At the same time the detector offers excellent body-effect compensation and has high immunity to external disturbance from electromagnetic and mechanical sources.
     

    Full digital design

    The PD240CB is fully digital. Electronic functions include an inspection field transmitter-receiver based on Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, a digital operator interface and external communications over the incorporated USB port.
     

    Extended continuous operation time

    The PD240CB is powered by two AA-size NiMH batteries with a battery life of over 50 hours. A Low Power Mode is automatically activated during periods of inactivity, extending the battery life up to 100 hours. An internal circuit optimizes battery recharging which takes less than five hours.
     

    Sophisticated communication capabilities

    The digital design of the new metal detector also enables the maximum flexibility in selecting how detection alarms are signalled. Users can keep the factory settings or connect the detector over its USB to a PC and then personalize the settings with a dedicated graphic interface.
