    Notion Systems GmbH & Osiris International GmbH are pleased to announce that they have entered into a strategic partnership. The partnership will cover the integration and design of process systems in the semiconductor industry utilizing Notion’s leading inkjet printing tools with Osiris’ world class automation and semiconductor process systems.

    Inkjet technology’s role in semiconductor manufacturing is rapidly increasing. The specialized knowledge each firm brings to this partnership allows for the potential development of fully integrated systems in the area of inkjet processing in the manufacture of semiconductors.

    “Inkjet printing provides significant advantages in semiconductor manufacturing. Due to the digital and selective coating technology we are able to reduce process steps, save expensive materials and realize processes that haven’t been possible in the past”, says Dr. Kai Keller, Director Business Development of Notion.

    “The Notion-Osiris partnership is a powerful combination. Notion´s understanding of complex inkjet processes and our longstanding know-how in automation and semiconductor processes for silicon and glass wafers is very unique in the industry.   • Notion Systems offers an inkjet system called n.jet semicon advanced, including cassette to cassette automation, pre– and post processing stations such as plasma cleaning, hotplates or UV curing stations.

    Every ink jet system is equipped with a meniscus tank system, as well as a automatic cleaning station and waste tank. The optical alignment system and the nozzle calibration allows high precise printing results. The inkjet system can be equipped with several industrial print heads and a temperature-controlled chucks.

  • The n.jet semicon basic inkjet printing system is a new process tool for typical ink coating applications of wafers and other substrates. The new designed ink printing system provides excellent coating uniformity and repeatability for up to 200 mm wafers or up to 6”x 6” substrates. System is suitable for process development and small-scale production. The stand-alone cabinet of the n.jet semicon basic has been specifically designed for easy operation and maintenance. The process area is easy to clean and it´s resistant to the most used chemical. This system is mainly used in industries such as semiconductors, optics and precision parts.
