Perlast Perfluoroelastomers for Semiconductor Applications

Perlast (FFKM) seals have been developed to offer superior sealing solutions with enhanded performance in semiconductor applications.

Our range of Perlast perfluoroelastomer materials are at the leading edge of polymer technology, offering ultra clean high purity FFKM for reduced process contamination, and affording the following proven benefits:

  • Extended system up-time from increased in-service seal lifetime
  • Reduced maintenance and equipment downtime
  • Extended machine and equipment planned maintenance (PM) intervals
  • Optimised process conditions, resulting in increased machine and equipment output
  • Reduced process contamination
  • Minimised cost of ownership through reduced cost of consumables

Our team of sealing specialists can help you find the right material grade for your application, available in a suite of profiles ranging from standard O-rings sizes to custom components.

There are lots of great resources available on the prepol.com website, including explainer videos, webinars and chemical comparison guides. Take a look!

 Products

  • Perlast (FFKM)
Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) is the most chemically resistant elastomer available, and is effectively a rubber form of PTFE....

  • Perlast perfluoroelastomer grades are valuable in critical sealing applications where purity, chemical and high temperature resistance, and retention of sealing force are all paramount.

The Perlast FFKM range is at the leading edge of polymer technology, with almost universal chemical resistance and high temperature stability exceeding 300deg Celsius. Perlast seals also demonstrate outstanding mechanical properties, making them well suited to dynamic or static applications.

There are several advantages of using Perlast in semiconductor applications. These include high purity, which reduces process contamination significantly. Perlast is also highly plasma resistant, and the grades also exhibit low permeation and low out-gassing.
