SIMACO is a market leader in the development of fluid moving technologies for industrial use.

Since 1962 SIMACO gained over 60 years of experience in the development of pumps for cooling systems, controlling the entire process starting from the design, engineering, production and even distribution of the productions. A product, the electric pump, that Simaco manufactures in a Made in Italy supply chain with partner suppliers for the most part at km0, with which it has been collaborating for more than thirty years.

Recognized market leader in the welding and thermoregulation sector, it has made its entry for several years into emerging industry sectors, including electronics and "green economy". Products for special applications, which require flexibility and constant collaboration with the customer for the development of highly customized solutions.

A constantly growing team that today has a workforce of more than 25 people, with specialized figures in all key sectors including: R&D, purchase, quality and exports.

 Products

  • MD-CX
Surface electric pumps in stainless steel with magnetic driven peripheral impeller without mechanical seal, ideal for increasing or manteining circulating pressures at medium-low hydraulic flow rates in closed circuit systems....

  • Thanks to the innovative impeller drive system, motion transmission occurs via magnetic joints without the use of mechanical seals, reducing the risk of leaks to virtually zero with a consequent reduction in maintenance costs.

With pressures up to 9,5bar, they are suitable for use with diatermic oils, pressurized water without suspended parts or abrasive parts and slightly agressive dilutions. Fluid use temperatures up to 350 C° for HT versions and -100 ° C for CT versions.

Operation with single-phase (on request) or three-phase asynchronous electric motors also in double-frequency version (on request) sized and manufactured by Simaco for over 55 years. The motors size Gr. 56-63-71 are available with cRUus certification (on request). Products with rated power greater than 0.75kW are in IE3 (Premium Efficiency) efficiency class, in line with European Community legislation. Alternatively, available on request, the possibility of coupling the pump with PMSM synchronous motors (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) which allow for a reduction in overall dimensions, a reduction in costs and consumption during the work cycle. They allow for greater flexibility in relation to the required performance and implementation with control sensors.

  • PMSM motor
Starting from the MD-CX magnetic drive range Simaco has decided to introduce alongside the asynchronous motors the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM)....

  • Synchronous motors with permanent magnets PMSM offer significantly higher efficiency compared to induction motors, even under partial load conditions, and high efficiency in nominal working conditions.

Their construction architecture reduces the thermal losses from the rotor by 100%, the total losses by about 25% and increases the total efficiency by at least 10%. These improvements translate into a lower total cost of ownership, a reduction in CO2 emissions and continuous savings that amortize future increases in energy costs.

he improvements in terms of technology and efficiency imply a higher initial purchase cost, which is quickly recovered, however, during the operating life of the PMSM motor. However, it is known that 96% of the costs for the entire life cycle of an electric motor have to do with energy consumption during the work phase, and not with the initial investment for the purchase.

PMSM motors already meet the requirements of the IE4 and IE5 standard (Super-premium Efficiency), this is demonstrated by their potential energy savings, up to 40% compared to an inverter-controlled squirrel-cage IE2 motor.

The pumps thus made allow the implementation with different sensors (flow, pressure, temperature) in order to create a system able to monitor performance by creating statistics on working hours, faults, maintenance intervals. Finally, the possibility of interconnection of the pump in industry 4.0 system.
