Robot hand compatible with warped wafers,convertible for PLP

Rorze Corporation and our group companies develop and manufacture all our products—Motion control products (Controller/Driver), Automation modules (Robot/Load Port/Aligner), Systems (EFEM/Sorter/Vacuum Platform) and Software including factory-host interface program.

In our 40 years of history, the ultra-clean functionality and high reliability of our products such as Wafer Sorter, Bare Wafer Stocker, Wafer Stocker with N2/XCDA Purge & Monitor functions and ALP (FOUP Active Load Port for loading support), provided to not only semiconductor equipment makers but also end-user Fabs, have been recognized by our worldwide end-user customers with supplier awards.

This year, we are exhibiting a robot equipped with a hand that enables chuck transfer of warped wafers, along with a PLP-compatible robot and Load Ports.

In addition, we are presenting video demonstrations of wafer analysis systems using VPD and laser ablation, as well as chip singulation and dicing equipment.

  • Robot Equipped with Flap wrist Technology
    Rorze have developed the “Flap wrist”, a specialized hand for secure transfer of warped wafers. At this exhibition, we are demonstrating wafer transfer operations using a robot equipped with the Flap wrist, simulating conditions with warped wafers....

  • We have developed the “Flap Wrist”, a robotic wrist mechanism that enables flexible handling of not only conventional silicon wafers but also warped wafers and ultra-thin wafers that have been significantly thinned during the manufacturing process.

    The Flap wrist features a pair of vacuum-chuck fingers mounted at the tip of the wrist. These fingers move vertically to adapt to the shape of the wafer, allowing secure gripping and precise transfer. In addition, the mechanism includes a function to flatten the wafer’s shape during handling.

    For this exhibition, we are showcasing a robot equipped with the Flap wrist, enhanced with an additional flipping mechanism, and demonstrating its advanced handling capabilities.
  • Load Port and Robot for PLP handling
    Rorze are demonstrating high-resolution camera mapping integrated into the load port and real-time monitoring of robot operations during each movement....

  • We have developed a load port and robot (wrist) for PLP handling.
    At this exhibition, we are demonstrating the following key functions using actual equipment:

    〇Mapping Function with High-Resolution Camera

    The load port is equipped with a high-resolution camera that serves as a mapping sensor. This function detects the substrate’s condition, thickness, and shape. We will showcase real-time monitoring of the information captured by the camera.

    〇Robot Operation Monitoring Function

    Using our proprietary system bus, we provide real-time monitoring of critical parameters during robot operation, including:

    ・Motor torque status during movement

    ・Vibration levels (acceleration) at fixed points

    ・Workpiece gripping status via vacuum pressure sensor values

    This demonstration highlights our advanced capability for precise control and data-driven monitoring in PLP handling.
