  • PEEK SD is an electrically modified PEEK ESD plastic material with a defined surface resistance between 106 -109 Ohm. Due to its electrostatic dissipation properties, this material is commonly used in applications within the electronics industry, test sockets being one example. Such materials are also referred to as ESD safe materials. PEEK ESD has excellent dimensional stability and can be machined easily to very tight tolerances. Static plastic, such as PEEK ESD, is increasingly used in the electronics industry due to increasing requirements for temperature and chemical resistance.

  • PEEK ELS CF 30 is a 30% conductive carbon fibre filled PEEK material, produced and marketed by Ensinger under the brand name TECAPEEK ELS CF 30 black. This electrically conductive plastic provides a very high stiffness and creep resistance through the conductive carbon fibres. Conventional carbon fibres do not have a defined conductivity, therefore, this special carbon reinforced PEEK ELS was developed as a solution for electronic applications. This material can also be used in ESD applications which require a good electrical conductivity. TECAPEEK ELS CF30 black has enhanced mechanical properties in comparison to TECAPEEK ELS nano black, which is also an electrically conductive PEEK black. Furthermore, carbon fiber modified materials are less abrasive than glass fibre modified materials, while also having enhanced wearing and friction properties.

  • TECATRON GF40 natural is a 40% fibre glass reinforced material that combines very high mechanical properties as well as strength and rigidity, with excellent thermal properties. Furthermore, the high performance thermoplastic PPS with 40% glass fibre reinforcement offers excellent chemical resistance properties. This PPS GF modification is supplied by Ensinger under the tradename TECATRON GF40.

    TECATRON GF40 black is a 40% glass fibre reinforced PPS. Because of the high level of glass fibre reinforcement, TECATRON GF40 black demonstrates excellent rigidity and very high strength at high temperatures compared to unmodified PPS (TECATRON natural). High thermal stability, high dimensional stability, very good chemical resistance, good electrical and thermal insulation and good resistance to sterilization rounds out the property profile of this modified PPS. These material properties make glass filled PPS suitable for use in parts that are exposed to high static loads over long periods in high temperature conditions. However, the inherant chemical structure along with the addition of glass fibres tends to create toughness issues with this material. As glass fibres tend in some cases to have a marked abrasive effect on mating surfaces, this PPS composite may be less suitable for sliding applications.

  • Polyetherimide or PEI material is an amorphous thermoplastic with high mechanical strength and rigidity. PEI polymer is extruded by Ensinger in sheet and rod shapes using Sabic's Ultem® resin. Unfilled PEI thermoplastic is translucent and amber in color with exceptional mechanical, thermal and electrical properties. In filled grades, the addition of glass fiber reinforcement, coupled with Ensinger's proprietary extrusion techniques, provides users with a polyetherimide offering that has both greater tensile strength and rigidity, while also improving dimensional stability.

    PEI Ultem® plastic has similar characteristics to the polyarylsulphones, while simultaneously offering significant advantages. Polyetherimides has a remarkably high creep resistance over a wide temperature and a high permanent operating temperature. Furthermore, very good resistance to hydrolysis, along with dimensional stability rounds out the portfolio of polyetherimide properties.

    TECAPEI natural은 미강화 폴리에테르이미드 소재로, 매우 뛰어난 가수분해 내성, 치수안정성, 장시간 사용 시 비교적 높은 온도범위 등의 특성을 갖습니다. 특히 높은 기계적 강도와 우수한 강성 덕분에 식품 접촉시에 사용하기 적합합니다.

With the ongoing solicitations, SEMI would like to continue to alert you with questionable professional practices perpetrated against exhibitors by FairGuide.com (Austria) and Expo Guide (Mexico), Event Fair - The Exhibitors' Guide with their misleading directory services. There may be others that we are not aware of and are hence not named here. 

These companies provide legitimate exhibition guides aimed at exhibitors across the globe offering online listing services. They use a form which resembles and organizer's free catalogue listing service, inviting exhibitors to complete the form for an entry in an on-line directory. Unsuspecting exhibitors who sign and return the form are then contracted into a three-year, non-retractable agreement, which could cost the exhibitor a significant amount of money, with very limited foreseeable benefits. The details are often available on the form itself, but are often too small and insignificant to be noticed. It is always wise to really the small print before signing a contract, and if the information is impossible to read then the contract should not be signed. These publications have no connection with SEMI or any of our events, and it is important that all companies are made aware of this.
