PBA @ SEMICON SEA 2025: LATEST HIGH-TECH PRECISION MOTION SOLUTIONS ON SHOW FOR SYSTEMS AUTOMATION & EQUIPMENT MAKERS
Featured products on display include a proprietary ultra-precision gantry as well as the latest suite of Z-axis positioning and other precision linear motion solutions, targeted at Southeast Asia’s semiconductor industry.
Singapore, 8 May 2025 – PBA’s very latest precision motion solutions will be on show at the upcoming SEMICON SEA 2025, to be held over three days, from 20 to 22 May. With a focus on its renowned high-tech precision motion products – from component-level to stages and nano-level gantry solutions - PBA announced its line-up of featured product demonstrations aimed at systems builders and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the semiconductor industry; the star of which is the Nano-level Ultra-Precision Air Bearing Gantry.
In line with the focus of the exhibition, PBA’s showcase of motion solutions is specially-curated and targeted at semiconductor industrial applications where motion is imperative – with the highlight being PBA’s cutting-edge solutions for next-gen chip-making: Advanced Packaging.
With the aim of connecting with system partners and industry players, PBA’s booth for the tradeshow, held at Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore (booth number L2829, Expo Hall C1), will feature product demonstrations of best-in-class, innovative automation products and motion solutions.
PBA’s Engineering & Sales team will also be on hand to present PBA’s capabilities in design, build and manufacture of direct drive motors, actuators, and modules, as well as putting our core competence in precision motion under the spotlight – the offering of standard solutions for high-precision stages with customised specifications to meet the most rigorous requirements yet with shorter delivery lead times.

Showcase of PBA’s capabilities in Customised Ultra-Precision Stages & Gantries
- The signature high-tech solution for ultra-precision motion - Air Bearing Nano Precision Gantry – the industry-leading nano-grade precision gantry. This gantry will be on demonstration during the exhibition to display PBA’s unrivalled stage solutions which boast excellent positioning accuracy in challenging and critical applications with advanced technologies. Designed to provide ultra-smooth, dynamic motion performance with ultra-precise positioning accuracy for critical processes in automation. Suitable for cleanroom environments, the range of relevant semiconductor industry applications for which superior precision is imperative includes precision cutting, high-speed pick-and-place, high-accuracy inspection and more.
- PBA’s team will also be on hand to share information on our in-demand star product, the Ultra-Precision High Speed XY Dual Gantry Motion System. One of PBA’s very latest industry-leading gantry solutions, the XY Dual Gantry is a versatile multi-axis platform specially designed for semiconductor back-end manufacturing operations – in particular the sought-after, high-tech innovation in chip-making; Advanced Chip Packaging; which requires unprecedented levels of nano precision. The XY Dual Gantry Motion System achieves excellent performance in both accuracy and precision concurrently. Its innovative design is tailored to meet the most challenging demands of modern die-bonding processes. This efficient gantry solution is built to optimise crucial motion applications such as die/chip stacking in state-of-the-art 3D packaging methods such as Thermal Compression Bonding, Hybrid Bonding, and High-Accuracy Flip Chip Bonding.

- The PZA-H High-Precision Z Positioning Actuator with low-profile design sets the industry standard for vertical motion performance. Unlike traditional ball screw or belt actuators, its special pneumatic cylinder design incorporates dual side-mounted pneumatic counterbalances for power outage safety control against damage. The design provides minimal friction, and it offers high precision, repeatability, speed and reliability. PZA-H is one of two Z-axis actuator solutions in the PZA Series. PZA-U is the Ultra-Precision Z Positioning Actuator which redefines precision and versatility in vertical motion control, featuring nano-level repeatability for demanding applications requiring nano-grade precision. Both PZA-H and PZA-U features remarkable dynamic abilities, high payload capacity of up to 20Kg, and a space-efficient design required by AOI solutions in manufacturing automation.
