Overview

Archer Materials Limited (ASX:AXE) is a materials technology company developing advanced semiconductor devices and processor chips related to quantum computing and medical diagnostics in Australia. The Company primarily focuses on the development of room-temperature quantum computing chips for mobile device integration and miniaturising medical labs onto a chip.

Archer is designing and integrating innovative materials for operating qubits in quantum technologies; they’re building graphene transistors for enhanced biosensing; and they’re developing semiconductors that push the boundaries of modern technology. Archer development spans qubit processors for practical quantum computing technology, and lab-on-a-chip biosensors for integrated bioelectronics.

Product and Solution Description

12CQ chip - Archer is one of very few companies developing a qubit processor. We're doing this by making breakthrough advancements in building quantum hardware – devices that scientists only began to imagine a few years ago. The 12CQ chip is utilising a unique carbon-based architecture that has the potential for practical qubit processing. We're focused on advancing our 12CQ chip technology towards integration with mobile devices

Biochip - Archer’s biochip development involves integrating graphene with miniaturised lab-on-a-chip platforms for advanced medical diagnostics. A key factor in biochip development is the convergence of nanodevice fabrication and biochemistry. Biochips take advantage of device miniaturisation to enable efficient diagnostics. They combine several laboratory functions in regions on the same chip to process, detect and analyse biological specimens. To pave the way for on-chip multiplex diagnostics, Archer is developing a graphene-based biochip. Archer’s biochip innovation aims to integrate graphene field effect transistors (known as "gFETs") into advanced fluidic systems.
