Specialist for high-temperature technology up to 1.850 °C

Overview

Since 1996 SCHUPP® Ceramics has been developing, producing and selling high-temperature metallic-ceramics solutions, approved for heat treatment processes of e.g Si, SiC, GaN or GaAs. With a broad portfolio of innovative materials, we offer customized products for the most demanding industrial requirements.

We provide vacuum-formed 3-dimensional insulation shapes UltraVac, made of non-classified polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW). These parts are being used as cylinders, rings or vestibule blocks in CVD-, hydrogen-, oxygen and diffusion-furnaces up to 1.600 °C (2.912 °F) operation temperature. PCW-insulation contributes to the stability and safety of high-temperature installations.

We also combine heating elements of molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) and insulation according to your demand. Our heating systems allow process temperatures even up to 1.450 °C (2.552 °F), strongly depending on application and geometry, and ensure uniform heat distribution and high energy efficiency.

  • UltraVac TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS
High-temperature vacuum formed 3-dimensional shapes (PCW) as vestibule blocks and insulation tubes for semiconductor industry up to 1.600 °C (2.912 °F) and higher.
    ...

  • UltraVac insulation materials offer very precise dimensions, surface quality and homogeneity in particular at complex part designs. This way, we implement individual and application-specific unique vacuum-formed 3-dimensional insulation shapes or small series, made of non-classified polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW). These parts are being used as cylinders, rings or vestibule blocks in CVD-, hydrogen-, oxygen or diffusion-furnaces up to 1.600 °C (2.912 °F) operation temperature.

The structure of the vacuum-formed insulation shapes remains stable even at high temperature. Thanks to the very good thermal shock behaviour, UltraVac is suitable for use in high-temperature furnaces with rapid temperature gradients.

    Your benefits with UltraVac:

    • Complex design possible
    • Very good thermal shock behaviour
    • Stable structure at high temperatures
    • Longer lifetime compared to commonly used vacuum formed insulation parts
  • MolyTec
MolyTec is a system, which combines high purity heating elements made of molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) and vacuum-formed insulation made of polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW) for vertical and horizontal furnaces up to 1.450 °C (2.642 °F)....

  • We combine intermetallic high purity heating elements made of molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) and vacuum-formed insulation made of polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW) according to your demand. Our heating systems allow process temperatures even up to 1.450 °C (2.642 °F), strongly depending on application and geometry, and ensure uniform heat distribution and high energy efficiency. MolyTec is fully compatible with all technically comparable heating systems.

    Your benefits with MolyTec:

    • Quick and simple installation and exchange
    • Long service life compared to commonly used heating systems with e.g. wire
    • Reduction of the process time in terms of higher process temperature compared to wire
    • High surface loading: 15.5 W/cm2 at 1.400 °C (2.552 °F)
    • Homogeneous temperature distribution
  • MolyCom®-Hyper 1800
Electric heating elements made of high purity molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) with ceramic additives for horizontal and vertical furnaces up to 1.500 °C (2.732 °F) operation temperature....

  • MolyCom®-Hyper 1800 are electric heating elements made of the high purity intermetallic compound molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) with ceramic additives. Thanks to their unique properties the MoSi2 elements enable a higher surface loading compared to commonly used electric heating like e.g. with wire. Thus, they can be used for operation temperatures higher than 1.350 °C (2.462 °F).

MolyCom®-Hyper 1800 heating elements can be combined with vacuum-formed insulation tubes made of polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW) to electric heating systems for CVD-, hydrogen-, oxygen or diffusion-furnaces. The elements are supplied, also in complex geometries like 360° panorama heating elements.

    Your benefits with MolyCom®-Hyper 1800:

    • Higher surface loading compared to alternative heating solutions
    • Longer lifetime of the heating elements
    • Available as ready for installation heating system with vacuum-formed insulation tube up to 1.450 °C (2.642 °F) operation temperature, called MolyTec
  • ITM-Fibermax®
Flexible thermal insulation made of non-classified polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW) for application temperatures up to 1.600 °C (2.912 °F)...

  • ITM-Fibermax® is the flexible version of the thermal insulation made of polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW). The material is a very good substitution for ceramic-fibre materials (RCF). It is particularly suitable for temperatures above 1.250 °C and applications that require a very high chemical resistance. The needled blanket can be used as external insulation in CVD-, hydrogen-, oxygen or diffusion-furnace.  ITM-Fibermax® is available in thicknesses of 12.5mm and 25mm.

    Your benefits with ITM-Fibermax®:

    • Shot-free and free of ceramic-fibre (RCF-free)
    • Long service life due to low shrinkage
    • Perfect thermal stability and thermal shock resistance
    • Low heat conductivity
    Outstanding corrosion resistance
