CalligoTech has developed a Co-processor capable of doing computations using a new number system - POSITs. This will fuel the next generation arithmetic computation requirements to deliver higher accuracy and performance with better power efficiency. CalligoTech believes that POSIT is a game changing disruptive invention at the grass root levels that has the potential to create new standards for computing. CalligoTech has integrated the Multi-Core RISC V Processor with this Co-processor, creating a highly power-efficient and computationally more accurate CPU – TUNGA (Technology for Unum based Next Generation Arithmetic) Silicon. This Silicon will power our PCIe-based Accelerator Card – UTTUNGA. Complementing this solution, CalligoTech has modified RISC-V C/C++/gFortran/LLVM compilers and Libraries to generate Posit-enabled executables. Using CalligoTech’s approach, there is no need to any source-level modifications to run the HPC/AI Application.
