Laser machine control — from R&D to production FAST

Overview

DMC - Direct Machining Control. See our latest event announcements at directmachining.com/events.

Direct Machining Control (DMC) is a modular software platform that brings together CAD/CAM and machine control software together. Work with stage and scanner control, vision, and automation — all in one system. From 2D marking to complex multi-scanhead control to full 5-axis processing, DMC powers high-precision laser processing machines worldwide.

Designed for both R&D and industrial use, DMC is widely used in semiconductors, photonics, medical devices, PCBs, and electronics packaging. It supports a full range of machine types —  galvo or fixed optic-based, hybrid or any other combination — and can control a full system or operate as a subsystem inside larger equipment.

Key Capabilities

Galvo + stage sync with support for IFOV / XLSCAN

Adaptive Mark-on-the-Fly for high-speed processing

Live vision alignment with manual or automatic recognition

Recipe logic with variables, loops, array, and formulas

Remote Control API (.NET), OPC UA, Serial, I/O

Optional custom HMI or full background integration

Multi-scan head, sensor integration or complex processes including 5-axis control options available

Delivery & Integration

DMC is compatible with major hardware: ACS, Aerotech, SCANLAB, Raylase, Keyence, Basler, IDS and others. Users can import STL, DXF, STEP, Gerber and define full processing logic in a visual recipe editor.

Available as a standard product or OEM-customized solution. Includes simulation mode, camera stitching, auto-focus, and full calibration tools. Let us help you simplify your laser system control pipeline.
