HIT's non-contact power transmission ultrasonic-assisted machining module is compatible with traditional CNC machine tool spindles and their automatic tool change systems. It upgrades traditional metal processing CNC machine tools into high-precision processing equipment for advanced materials. This includes processing hard, brittle, and difficult-to-cut materials such as ceramics (alumina, zirconia, Macor), quartz, fused silica, sapphire, Si/SiC/AlSiC, tungsten carbide, stainless steel, hardened steel, and super alloys. It effectively enhances tool life, processing efficiency, and workpiece quality in CNC machining. Industrial applications include semiconductors (especially in the making of showerhead, quartz ring, wafer susceptor, heat sink), optoelectronics (optical moulds), aerospace and automotive (especially for EV components, brake disc), and precision moulds.
Over the past years, HIT's ultrasonic-assisted machining modules have been successfully integrated into over 30 international machine tool brands for end customers worldwide.
