msolv is a UK company with a rich history of laser materials processing and inkjet materials deposition. Founded to produce large touch panel systems for our parent company CN Innovations, we are now striving to innovate in the semiconductor packaging market.
Based in Eynsham, Oxford, we work with our customers directly to develop new advanced equipment for precision manufacturing. Our cutting-edge technology centres on the latest developments in ultrafast DPSS lasers and are used to manufacture advanced IC substrates.
Our flagship IC substrate via drilling tool, MSV500 uses picosecond green lasers and multiple process heads for high throughput at a low cost of ownership. We collaborate with our suppliers to bring the best available technology to market and onto our customer’s production line.
MSV300 utilises a proprietary technology called SMI developed by msolv to enable embedded traces. As an alternative to direct imaging and lithography for large panel arrays, SMI does away with the resist chemistry and can achieve single digit line spacing with direct ablation.
