Clas-SiC Wafer Fab is the world’s first dedicated open foundry to manufacture Silicon Carbide power semiconductors, enabling fabless design houses and major semiconductor players to quickly enter the SiC market. The company is unique in the semiconductor industry, supporting customers at all stages of the product life cycle: Tech stream: fabless design houses new to SiC can design on proven process design kits (PDKs) leveraging process knowhow in fabrication and high-voltage termination. Low-rate production: transitions tech devices into low-rate production, supporting varied customer lifecycles using license fabs to transition to high volume. Licensing: for larger wafer fabs seeking to scale from concept to high-volume manufacture and accelerate entry into SiC and wide bandgap opportunities. Clas-SiC combines world-class expertise, state of the art SiC processing and reliability-proven design kits for JBS/MPS SiC diodes and MOSFETS from 650V- >3.3kV, with customers designing devices in development at 6.5kV and above. Clas-SiC provides a cost-effective route to market. The company has an established global customer base spanning Europe, China, Taiwan, Brazil, and North America and is looking to cement and build new collaborations in Taiwan.
