Visitors to this July’s SEMICON WEST 2017 show will have the rare opportunity to view any of three daily presentations to be given by HEIDENHAIN and ETEL experts at its show booth in San Francisco, CA (July 11 – 13). Highlighting “Where Accuracy Meets Throughput” at each presentation, a HEIDENHAIN representative will first discuss the importance and methods to obtain accuracy in the semiconductor industry, followed by an ETEL expert who will discuss throughput and highlight the new METIS 2 hybrid stage.
The short presentation will be given three times during each day of the show at booth #7537 in the Moscone Center: 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. An opportunity to discuss these topics directly with the experts is available after each presentation.
Many state-of-the-art products will be on display at the HEIDENHAIN/ETEL booth, including but not limited to:
- HEIDENHAIN’s LIP 6000 linear scale - The LIP 6000 linear encoder system, consisting of a scanning unit and glass scale, is a miniaturized encoder system that has the unusual capability to measure to 2 nm resolution with high speed of 4m/sec at long lengths of scale. It is especially useful in applications where very constant speed control is needed or high position stability at standstill is important.
- HEIDENHAIN’s ECA 4000 V angle encoder – HEIDENHAIN updates its kit angle encoder line by modifying the ECA 4000 ring encoder to be able to survive and provide angular motion feedback within various machine types using a vacuum environment.
- NUMERIK JENA’s LAK and KIT LA linear encoders - Introducing two families of absolute linear encoders that fit into tight spaces is NUMERIK JENA, a HEIDENHAIN brand. These non-contact encoders offer several types of electrical interfaces, including EnDat with analog signals, a key market request. This interface allows motion stage manufacturers to use the absolute position values and use the analog position values for different purposes.
- ETEL’s METIS 2 stage – Introducing a high accuracy air-bearing hybrid stage to the market is ETEL, a HEIDENHAIN brand. It is a compact scanning stage capable of supporting high throughput cycles through use of water-cooled motors.
