Ereztech — a company specializing in the research, development, and manufacture of complex metalorganic and inorganic compounds — has announced the hire of scientist Kyril M. Solntsev, PhD.
Dr. Solntsev’s responsibilities will include finding new, innovative applications for the company’s portfolio of over 800 organometallic. Elementoorganic and inorganic compounds.
Kyril honed his product development skills as a Senior Staff Scientist at OLIS, Inc., where he produced a new generation of spectrometers — and was instrumental in their technical adoption at clients’ sites worldwide.
Dr. Solntsev has published 85 peer-reviewed papers and is an internationally recognized researcher in the fields of photochemistry, physical chemistry, spectroscopy, chemical kinetics, organic synthesis, fluorescent probes, and fluorescent proteins function and design. He has presented at over 60 institutional talks in North America, Europe, and Asia in the past 10 years.
Prior to OLIS, Kyril was a Senior Research Scientist and Principal Investigator at the Georgia Institute of Technology’s School of Chemistry and Biochemistry. While there, he conducted research on supramolecular photochemistry, ultrafast reactions, fluorescent proteins design and utilization, shape-responsive fluorophores and fluorescence sensors.
“We are very fortunate to have Kyril Solntsev as our newest employee,” notes Roman Rytov, General Manager at Ereztech. “With our European network of over 50 organometallic research chemists, we have the R&D and manufacturing expertise to solve very challenging applications of metal-organic frameworks. That includes our traditional ‘core’ customers needing complex organometallic precursors for advanced semiconductors. And with Kyril’s extensive chemical knowledge and innovative talents, we now have the potential to add additional value to clients by expanding deeper into current and new applications for our custom syntheses of metal-organic compounds.”
