  • AES Engineering Multiple SEMI-GAS® Megaturion™ MegaCyl Systems for Customer’s Globally Distributed Manufacturing Facilities

    MALVERN, PA, February 28, 2018 — Applied Energy Systems (AES), provider of high and ultra high purity gas systems, services, and solutions – including design, manufacturing, testing, installation, and expert field services – has partnered with a leading global tooling provider to supply several of its international manufacturing sites with bulk specialty gas delivery systems supporting chemical vapor deposition (CVD) coating processes. Varying configurations of AES’ SEMI-GAS® Megaturion™ MegaCyl Bulk Specialty Gas Systems are being built to suit the specific high-volume gas handling requirements involved in those processes at each facility.

    Megaturion™ MegaCyl systems are engineered to safely and continuously deliver ultra high purity gases for high flow gas applications that require the automatic switchover of two or more process cylinders. MegaCyl gas systems can be flexibly configured as multi-cylinder gas cabinets or rack mount systems to dispense a variety of hazardous process gases at high sustained flow rates. AES is tapping into the proven quality of the MegaCyl offering, which is part of its premium SEMI-GAS® brand line, and custom-configuring the systems to meet the tooling company’s distinct specifications for each manufacturing facility. The systems will include:

    • An ergonomically positioned GigaGuard™ PLC controller with a 9” color touchscreen equipped with pressure and excess flow monitoring, data logging, and Ethernet capabilities.

    • Fully automatic switchover and purging capabilities to reduce operator interaction time and risk.

    • Flexible configurations to meet each facility’s process requirements, including various 4, 5, 6, and 7 cylinder bank systems.

    • An external purge panel for easy access to purge gas cylinders.

    • A SEMI S2 certified design and helium leak testing system validation to 1×10-9 atm-cm3/sec.

    MALVERN, PA, March 29, 2018Applied Energy Systems (AES), provider of high and ultra high purity gas systems, services, and solutions – including design, manufacturing, testing, installation, and expert field services – has expanded its VERSA-GAS™ product offerings to include vSpec™, a new line of specialty gas equipment built for handling inert and non-reactive gases. Components and equipment in the vSpec™ line are ideal for specialty gas delivery applications requiring configurable, safe and code-compliant solutions at a cost-effective price point.

    vSpec™ gas equipment has been engineered to support specialty gas processes required by research labs, universities, pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations, as well as by the food, chemical, utilities, and welding industries. vSpec™ solutions can also be coupled with AES’ SEMI-GAS® and VERSA-GAS™ lines to create comprehensive gas handling systems for ultra-high purity and reactive gas applications, such as those used in R&D and semiconductor manufacturing. The vSpec™ line includes:

    • vSpec™ Regulators for pressure control of diverse specialty gases, available in both forged and barstock brass and stainless steel.

    • vSpec™ Gas Cabinets available in one, two, and three cylinder manual or semi-automatic cabinet configurations.

    • vSpec™ Protocol Stations designed for wall mounting regulators to improve operator safety and ease of use.

    • vSpec™ Switchover and Gas Panels available with semi- automatic switchover capabilities to prevent downtime during cylinder change-overs.

    • Seamless interfacing with VERSA-GAS™ vRun™ Controllers, including the vRun™ PSI Controller, vRun™ ESS Controller, and vRun™ CDM300 Controller, to create integrated gas source systems.
