Kyoto, Japan based Towa Corporation announced today that along with BANCERA, they will be bringing in high precision Carbide and Cubic Boron Nitride End Mills into the US market. Towa USA Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Towa Corporation based in San Jose, California will be sponsoring the event and the sales operation in the USA.
Originally developed for internal ultra-precision mold machining, TOWA’s CBN End Mills excel when used to process high hardness material. These tools boast high precision, high sharpness, superior abrasion resistance and long service life bringing a truly compelling tool to the industry.
These CBN End Mills can be re-ground multiple times to enable a significant reduction in the unit cost of the tool making it very competitive. TOWA also offers a lineup of multi-blade End Mill tools that increase productivity whilst maintaining precision.
BANCERA Coat and high precision End Mills with the accuracy level of ０～－３μm have no direct competition in the market at the moment.
BANCERA’s arrival in the market came to attention through sales channel during the recently concluded INTERPHEX 2018 Showcasing Innovation in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Device Development and Manufacturing at Jarvis Center, NY. It was readily welcomed by the industry and now being considered by major players in the industry.
Interestingly enough, the Ceramic Coat and the End Mills were originally designed for TOWA’s in house use for their various semiconductor machinery until it was discovered that the products made for themselves far surpassed other makers product when compared in the market.
BANCERA is an oxide ceramic based coat that was originally developed as an alternative for hard chrome plating of molds/dies. Turns out, it’s applicable to all kind of precision components including ones for pharmaceuticals machinery.
Known as corrosive wear, heat and scratch resistant as well as for its’ anti- adhesive quality, BANCERA should be in for wide interest across industries
