    The Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) technology is widely used in multiple industries and applications as an effective and energy efficient solution for control of VOC air emissions.

    RTOs from The CMM Group are designed to destroy VOC air pollutants emitted from process exhaust streams at temperatures ranging from 815 degrees C (1,500 degrees F) to 980 degress C (1,800 degrees F). This VOC abatement technology utilizes ceramic media packed into vertical canisters as a high-efficiency heat exchanger. High temperature thermal oxidation is achieved as pollutants pass through the ceramic media, are mixed, and held at elevated temperatures in the combustion chamber.

    The basic design concept of thermal oxidization is to promote a chemical reaction of the air pollutant with oxygen at elevated temperatures. This reaction destroys the VOC emission in the air stream by converting it to CO2, H2O and heat. The rate of reaction is controlled by three interdependent and critical factors; time, temperature and turbulence.

    Its advantages include low operating costs with low air pollutant concentrations, along with very high thermal heat recovery. Our equipment will meet or exceed all emissions regulations.

    Through its solid engineering and constant innovations. Condorchem designs have proven to be a durable and efficient solution for the treatment and reuse of wastewater in all types of industrial activities.

    Wastewater evaporators are considered the best technology to achieve a zero discharge system, where wastewater is transformed into two streams, one containing solid waste with reusable resources (mainly raw materials and by-products) and another with high quality water that can be reused.

  • Our vacuum crystallizers are custom-designed for the treatment of effluents with a high contaminant load and the concentration of raw materials.

    Our DESALT® equipment allows us to obtain a very high percentage of clean water to be discharged or reused, and a minimum solid concentrate to be sent to a manager or used as raw material to be recovered or by-product.

    Crystallization is a good option if you opt for zero discharge. This technology is especially suitable for high salinity effluents (brines).

    Crystallization is a separation method in which a solid (crystal or precipitate) is formed from a homogeneous phase, liquid or gas. The solid formed can become very pure, so crystallization is also used industrially as a purification process.

    For crystallization to take place, it is an essential condition that the solution be supersaturated. Crystallization processes differ from each other in the method by which supersaturation is achieved. In general, it can be achieved in three different ways:

    1. Supersaturation produced by cooling of the solution with negligible evaporation.
    2. Supersaturation produced by evaporation of the solvent with little cooling.
    3. Evaporation by combination of cooling and evaporation in adiabatic evaporators (vacuum crystallizers).

    The crystallization process is not simple and the most important stage consists in the formation of solid crystals within the liquid solution. The solution is concentrated and cooled until the concentration of the solute is greater than the solubility at that temperature and the solute forms nearly pure crystals.
