Industrial cooling towers are among the largest users of freshwater and consume over 2 trillion gallons of water annually in the US alone. This is a major sustainability issue as water is becoming scarcer and it is a major cost for plants to acquire and treat water. We started Infinite Cooling to solve the problem of water consumption for cooling by commercializing a patented, MIT-developed technology to capture water from cooling tower plumes. This technology can generate clean water from cooling tower exhausts, save money to plant operators, and reduce the water footprint of industrial facilities. The product also has advanced controls and software that allow better optimization of cooling tower operation for further water and energy savings.
