Innovative Bearing Solutions for the Semiconductor Industry

Overview

CEROBEAR is a manufacturer of custom-engineered or build-to-print ball and roller bearing solutions of all types for industries including Semiconductor, Aerospace, Automotive & Motorsport, Energy, Turbo Machinery, Oil & Gas, and more.

Using a wide range of advanced bearing materials including various grades of corrosion resistant bearing steels as well as ceramics (silicon nitride, zirconia), we design and produce Hybrid-Ceramic, All-Ceramic and All-Metal ball and roller bearings to the highest level of precision and quality with a focus on system integration.

CEROBEAR bearings deliver highest reliability at longest service-life, and perform perfectly even under extreme operating conditions e. g. in the clean room, under vacuum or in magnetic fields, at media or no lubrication (dry running), corrosive environment, hot or cryogenic temperature, etc.

CEROBEAR provides extensive co-engineering bearing consultancy during the quoting process, offers short lead times for customized products and facilitates full traceability of all material and production data.

We are ISO 9001, 9100, 11400, OHSAS 18001 and 50001 certified.

  Products

  • All-ceramic bearings
CEROBEAR’s all-ceramic bearings are the ideal solution everywhere, where operation conditions are marked by: - Corrosion - Media lubrication - Dry run - High/low temperatures and - Amagnetism requirement...

  • The primary criterion for differentiating CEROBEAR’s all-ceramic bearings are their material properties and the outstanding quality of the rings and rolling elements.

The properties of the applied ceramic materials silicon nitride (Si3N4, bearing code CN) and zirconium oxide (ZrO2, bearing codes CZ, CZN), differ, in part, considerably from conventional roller bearings steels such as 100 Cr 6 or 440C and outperform all other all-ceramic bearings in the industry.

Top features of our All-Ceramic Bearings:

    • Better resistance to high temperatures
    • Universal corrosion resistance
    • Fully non-magnetic
    • Lower specific weight
    • Full traceability of all materials
    • Extensive quality documentation on request

CEROBEAR’s all-ceramic bearings are available as ball and roller bearings in the following series:

    • Deep groove ball bearings (Series 60, 62, 63, 618, 619)
    • Angular contact ball bearings (Series 70, 72, 73, 718,719)
    • Cylindrical roller bearings (Series N/NU/NJ/NUP 10, 2, 3)
    • Cylindrical roller thrust bearings (Series 811, 812)
    • Other bearing types on request
  • Hybrid ceramic bearings

  • Conventional steel bearings are overburdened for many applications. CEROBEAR hybrid bearings, however, offer  an interesting and economical alternative everywhere, where bearings are exposed to:

    • High Hertzian Stress (High Loads on Small Bearings)
    • Highest speed (nxdm ≤ 3.8 million mm/min)
    • Extreme temperatures (-253 °C ≤ application temperature ≤ 800 °C)
    • Corrosive environment (moisture, salt, liquefied gases etc.)
    • Deficient lubricant conditions (minimum amounts of lubricant etc.)
    • Electrical current passage

Thus, the range of application of bearings can be considerably broadened, the availability of rotating machinery considerably increased and the costs reduced.

Top features of our Hybrid Ceramic Bearings:

    • Extended bearing life up to factor 100, due to extreme contact fatigue resistant materials
    • Particular qualified for high bearing speeds
    • Extreme temperature resistance
    • Work excellently in corrosive environment
    • No seizure occurs, even under compromised lubrication
    • Perfect electrical isolator

CEROBEAR hybrid ceramic bearings are available as ball and roller bearings in the following series as well as totally customized:

    • Deep Groove Ball Bearings (Series 618, 619, 60 ,62, 63)
    • Angular Contact Ball Bearings (Series 72, 73)
    • Spindle Bearings (Series 718, 719, 70, 72)
    • Gothic Arch Bearings (3-point contact, 4-point contact) (Series 10, 2, 3)
    • Thrust Ball Bearings (Series 511, 512)
    • Cylindrical Roller Bearings (Series N/NU/NJ/NUP 10, 2, 3)
    • Thrust Cylindrical Roller Bearings (Series 811, 812)
    • Spherical Roller Bearings (Series 202, 203)
    • Tapered Roller Bearings (metric and imperial)
  • All-metal bearings
All-metal rolling bearings made from higher grade bearing steels or alloys are advantageous for many applications, particularly with severe operating conditions....

  • Top features of our all-metal bearings meeting the required needs of the industry:

    • Advanced materials, such as BG42®, M50, M50 NiL®, M50 NiL® nitride, Inconel 718, Tribaloy T800
    • Enhanced rolling contact fatigue resistance allows down-sizing or bearing life improvement
    • Extreme temperature- and corrosive environment capability
    • Cost reduction by lower rejection rate (M50 NiL nitrided), much less distortion than with carburized rings, which allows parts design with integral functions (geared bearing rings, squirrel cages, flanges, splines, threads etc.)

CEROBEAR all-metal bearings are available as ball and roller bearings in ISO dimensions or totally customized:

    • Deep Groove Ball Bearings (Series 618, 619, 60 ,62, 63)
    • Angular Contact Ball Bearings (Series 72, 73)
    • Spindle Bearings (Series 718, 719, 70, 72)
    • Gothic Arch Bearings (3-point contact, 4-point contact) (Series 10, 2, 3)
    • Thrust Ball Bearings (Series 511, 512)
    • Cylindrical Roller Bearings (Series N/NU/NJ/NUP 10, 2, 3)
    • Thrust Cylindrical Roller Bearings (Series 811, 812)
    • Spherical Roller Bearings (Series 202, 203)
    • Tapered Roller Bearings (metric and imperial)
