PFAS-eliminating Electrochemical Systems
Overview
GRAPHEC is a novel elegant technology for the elimination of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from any type of water using a graphene-enabled electrochemical water treatment. Our approach employs a graphene sponge electrode, an inexpensive and adaptable electrode material, that is capable of degrading PFAS by breaking C-F bonds without the production of toxic by-products.
