  • KATON® PF325 is a chemical resistant perfluoroelastomer (FFKM). KATON® PF325 offers the widest range of media sealing capabilities along with excellent compression set values. 

    KATON® PF325 is suitable for most applications in temperature ranging from -10 °C to 260 °C, offering outstanding resistance to aggressive media such as hot organic and inorganic acids, caustics, ketones, aldehydes, esters, ethers, alcohols, fuels, solvents, sour gases, hydrocarbons, steam, hot water, ethylene and propylene oxide and mixed process streams. Moreover it can cope with a wide range of potent active pharmaceutical ingredients (API's) and aggressive cleaning agents, being especially suited to withstand steam-in-place (SIP) and clean-in-place (CIP) procedures.

    The primary use for KATON® PF325 is the manufacturing of any kind of elastomeric sealing element such as O-rings, gaskets, valve bodies, butterfly valves, pump housings and stators, metal bonded parts, diaphragms, profiles, etc. These sealing elements can be used in mechanical seals, pumps, compressors, valves, reactors, mixers, sprayers, dispensers, quick connect couplings, controls, instrumentation, etc. in a wide range of industrial sectors, such as semiconductor manufacturing, chemical process industry, oil & gas, food and pharma and paint spray.

  • KATON® PF587 is a perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) offering wide operational range and superior compression set resistance, thanks to its unique peroxide curing system that does not need any coagent (TAIC or equivalent) for curing to be carried out. Thanks to its curing system, it can offer a very broad chemical resistance in a wide variety of media including acids, caustics, ketones, aldehydes, esters, ethers, methanol, solvents, sour gases, hydrocarbons, steam, hot water and mixed process streams along with excellent thermal resistance.

    KATON® PF587 is suitable for most applications in temperature ranging from -10 °C to 318 °C. The primary use for KATON® PF587 is the manufacturing of any kind of elastomeric sealing element such as O-rings, gaskets, valve bodies, butterfly valves, pump housings and stators, metal bonded parts, diaphragms, profiles, etc. These sealing elements can be used in mechanical seals, pumps, compressors, valves, reactors, mixers, sprayers, dispensers, quick connect couplings, controls, instrumentation, etc. in chemical and petrochemical in-dustry, hydrocarbon processing, petroleum exploration and extraction, food processing, pharmaceutical and bio-analytical industry, aerospace and semiconductor manufacturing industries.

    KATON® PF587 can be combined with other typical fluoroelastomer compounding ingredients; its mixing can be accomplished with two-roll mills or internal mixers. Finished goods may be produced by a variety of rubber processing methods.

    KATON® PF587 is registered in the FDA Inventory of Effective Premarket Notifications for Food Contact Substances. It can be compounded so that the finished gaskets or seals can be used in food processing equipments (see "food processing compounds" section below)

    KATON® PF90V is a peroxide curable Perfluoro-elastomer (FFKM) designed for high performance semiconductor manufacturing applications where both high purity and low particle generation are required....

  • KATON® PF90V is a peroxide curable Perfluoro-elastomer (FFKM) designed for high performance semiconductor manufacturing applications where both high purity and low particle generation are required.
     
    Mineral fillers such as BaSO4, TiO2, SiO2, aluminum oxide and aluminum silicate exhibit high plasma resistance: they can therefore shield the polymer, but may contaminate the chamber by leaving discrete particles as soon as the polymer is etched by plasma. On the other hand, PTFE and FKMs have similar etching rates, so that polymeric filled compounds can be completely etched to form volatiles, significantly reducing the potential for particle generation.
     
    The main properties of KATON PF90V are as follows:

    KATON® PF90V is a cost effective sealing material for applications at temperatures ranging from –20°C to 300°C; it was specifically developed for use in lower temperature and less chemically aggressive semiconductor processes, such as etch and physical vapor deposition(PVD), where lower particle generation is required. It is ideal as well for vacuum applications.

    Its chemical resistance to mineral acids, dilute alkaline solutions, steam, aliphatic and aromatic solvents makes it suitable to Chemical Mechanical Polishing/Planarization (CMP) and wet etch (acid based) processes.


    KATON® PF90V can be combined with the cure system and other typical Perfluoroelastomer compounding ingredients; its mixing can be accomplished with two roll mills or internal mixers. Finished goods may be produced by a variety of rubber processing methods. If only liquid curatives (peroxide and coagent) are added to the polymers during the compounding stage, translucent items are produced.

    The primary use for KATON® PF90V is the manufacturing of any kind of elastomeric sealing element such as chamber seals, lid seals, window seals, gas inlet seals, fitting seals, slit valve gates, lip seals, wafer handling parts, CMP wafer handling parts, etc. used in the semiconductor and flat panel display manufacturing industry.

    KATON® PF90V is marketed in the form of raw O-RING (1/PCS ) in order to give the suited to the final application.
