GCU: Helping Prepare Arizona’s Semiconductor Workforce
Grand Canyon University (GCU) is preparing students for Arizona’s semiconductor sector. Through our Manufacturing Specialist Intensive (MSI) pathway and Center for Workforce Development, students can gain industry-relevant skills and career support to meet workforce needs.
What sets GCU apart is our partnership with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). Together, we offer the MSI pathway — an industry-funded, one-semester program that trains students in automated systems, wafer fabrication operations and problem solving. This collaboration connects students to employer needs and aims to prepare them for Arizona’s growing semiconductor ecosystem.1
