Harbor Technology Solutions CEO Hung-Yi Lu noted that while automation improves production efficiency, facility safety determines whether operations can remain stable and uninterrupted. Both are essential to modern manufacturing. Harbor AI is not a conventional equipment monitoring platform. Built around AI Decision Governance, it transforms real-time equipment data into actionable intelligence, enabling managers to better understand asset health and operational risks while reducing the business impact of unplanned downtime.
At the center of Harbor Technology Solutions’ exhibition is the Harbor AI Decision Governance Platform, built on the company’s proprietary three-layer AI architecture: Sensor AI, Gateway AI, and Server AI.
Sensor AI performs signal acquisition and preliminary analysis at the sensing layer. Gateway AI handles local inference and data governance at the edge, while Server AI supports model training, advanced analytics, and cross-site decision integration. Together, these three layers create a complete closed-loop framework from sensing to decision-making, transforming equipment data into auditable and traceable operational decisions.
From field sensing and edge AI inference to data integration, analytics, and decision intelligence, Harbor AI progressively converts frontline equipment data into management information that can be tracked, analyzed, and acted upon—establishing a comprehensive AI decision governance process.
Unlike many equipment management solutions that focus on a single sensor, individual AI model, or standalone software platform, Harbor AI is built around three core principles: integration, quantification, and actionability.
The platform consolidates multimodal data—including vibration, electrical signals, sound, and vision—into a unified management environment, giving managers a comprehensive view of equipment health without having to switch between multiple systems. Based on international standards including ISO 13374 and ISO 20816, Harbor AI provides standardized equipment health classification, enabling consistent and comparable assessment across assets.
More importantly, the platform goes beyond anomaly alerts. It delivers actionable decision intelligence, including maintenance recommendations, risk analysis, and maintenance scheduling, helping enterprises transition from reactive maintenance toward predictive asset management.
Harbor Technology Solutions will also showcase its complete portfolio of four AI Guard Solutions: Vibration Guard, designed for health monitoring of rotating machinery; Power Guard, developed for early-stage partial discharge detection and diagnostics in high-voltage equipment; Sound Guard, which uses AI-powered acoustic analysis to identify equipment anomalies; and Vision Guard, combining AI facial recognition with abnormal behavior detection.
Together, the four AI Guard Solutions address both equipment safety and personnel safety, helping enterprises establish a more comprehensive safety framework for smart manufacturing environments.
Another highlight of the exhibition will be Harbor’s Multi-Modal AI Sensing Inspection Solution. By integrating Sound Guard and Vision Guard, the solution can be deployed on a variety of mobile and autonomous platforms, including quadruped robots, rail inspection vehicles, and drones. At the exhibition, Harbor will demonstrate the technology through an AI-enabled quadruped robot inspection application.
With multimodal AI sensing and real-time analysis, the system can autonomously inspect high-risk environments involving extreme heat, high pressure, corrosive gases, and other hazardous conditions. By deploying robotic systems in areas that would otherwise require human entry, enterprises can improve inspection efficiency while reducing personnel exposure to hazardous environments.
According to Lu, the key to implementing a smart factory is no longer simply collecting more data. Enterprises need a decision governance framework capable of rapidly analyzing information, assessing equipment conditions, and providing actionable maintenance recommendations.
