Overview

Accelerated Materials revolutionizes how advanced nanomaterials reach commercial production. Die attach, thermal interface materials, EMI shielding and advanced interconnects all now depend on nanoparticles you cannot reliably buy to spec, or reliably reproduce once you do. Accelerated Materials gives your team the reactor platform, the process control and the scale-up pathway to make those materials yourself: from grams in the lab to tonnes in production, on the same process logic. The K-Series is the first commercial system that lets you scale by adding capacity, not by re-engineering the chemistry. Our continuous-flow platform holds particle size and distribution under precise hydrodynamic control, so the material that passed qualification is the same material that arrives on your line. We can help produce Ag, AlN, CeO2, Cu, Ho2O3, Rare Earths, ZnO, SiO2, ZrO2 and more. 10x faster time to market · 90% lower capital and operating costs

  Press Releases

  • Accelerated Materials will exhibit at SEMICON West, presenting its integrated platform for the development, scale-up, and manufacture of advanced electronic and functional materials.

Semiconductor manufacturers face stringent purity, consistency, and process control requirements alongside growing pressure to secure supply of critical materials. Accelerated Materials addresses both by enabling localised, in-house production, allowing fabs and materials suppliers to internalise key synthesis steps, protect intellectual property, and reduce reliance on external supply chains.

The company's K1, K10, and K100 reactors provide a scalable pathway from laboratory development to pilot and manufacturing-scale production of quantum dots, metal oxides, conductive inks, and other electronic materials, with tight control over particle size, morphology, and reproducibility. AMLearn adds code-free automation and machine-learning process optimisation.

  Products

  • AM K1 Annular Flow Microreactor

The K1 is a benchtop continuous-flow reactor that makes nanomaterials in seconds, from millilitre samples to over a kilogram a day.

At its core is our patented high-shear annular flow reactor. A fast-moving gas core forces reagents into a 10–200 µm film, delivering shear rates up to 10⁶ s⁻¹ and micromixing in 0.5 ms, without extreme temperatures or pressures.

The result: precise, repeatable control of particle size, morphology and crystallinity, in a far safer setup.

Every K1 ships with AMLearn, our control and machine-learning platform. Automated workflows and AI-driven optimisation let you dial in a protocol in as few as 20 experiments, tuning up to 25 variables against 4 objectives.

Choose Start, Pro or Max, with 2T, 3T or 4T reactors for up to four reagents. Make 2D materials, metals, metal oxides, MOFs, quantum dots, ceramics and organic nanoparticles, from <5 nm to 5 µm.

One K1 replaces a 50 L batch reactor, and scales cleanly to our K10 and K100.

  • AM K10 Annular Flow Microreactor

The AM K10 takes the K1's annular flow technology to pilot scale, producing up to 10 kg of nanomaterial per day. It's built for organisations moving from R&D into pre-commercial and early manufacturing, delivering throughput without giving up precision, safety or material performance.

The same patented high-shear reactor, shear rates up to 10⁶ s⁻¹, 0.5 ms micromixing, 500 mL/min liquid flow and a 150 mm reaction length, runs continuously under mild conditions, holding particle size distribution, morphology and batch-to-batch consistency at production volumes.

Available as Start for scale-up of simple processes with documented manual changeover, or Pro for automated pilot production with four dosing pumps, programmable cleaning-in-place and high-precision process data for validation and batch documentation. Choose 2T, 3T or 4T reactors for up to four reagents.

K1 recipes transfer directly to the K10 with minimal reconfiguration, and onward to the K100.

  • AMLearn - An Operating System for Self Driving Experimentation

AMLearn is an operating system for automation and AI in the laboratory. Click and connect your instruments, build workflows without writing code, and let machine learning find the conditions you're looking for.

It bundles Dash for precision dosing, automated workflows and real-time process monitoring, and Optima for AI-driven optimisation, Bayesian algorithms and automated design of experiment that predict optimal reaction conditions and balance multiple objectives at once. Run many tasks in parallel across integrated devices, import and export recipes, and generate detailed data reports. Paired with our K-series reactors, users reach reliable, scalable protocols in as few as 20 experiments, varying up to 25 variables and 4 objectives simultaneously.

Use it for nanoparticle synthesis, flow and batch chemistry, microfluidics, formulation and process optimisation. Wide third-party hardware and software support. Secure desktop application, yearly industry and academic subscriptions.
