Electroformed Metal Bellows

• Electroformed metal bellows, also known as electrodeposited metal bellows, are flexible, spring-like, precision-engineered components custom designed to fit into OEM parts or assemblies. Of the various types of bellows available today, only our patented manufacturing technology employs our premium alloy FlexNickel™. It offers superior performance characterization and makes our electrodeposited bellows exceptionally unique.

Bellows Electrical Contacts & Interconnects

• Bellows contacts boost signal speed and reduce loss by directing signals through the bellows walls, ensuring high performance and flexibility.

Couplings Electrodeposited Bellows

• Couplings have a distinct bellows shape with convolutions. They are produced using the electrodepositing process, which involves creating a component by adding thin metal layers to a mandrel and then chemically removing the mandrel.

What is a machined spring?

• It is a single piece of material precisely designed and machined to have spring characteristics. Machined springs can be engineered to provide precise performance as compression, extension, torsion, lateral translation, or lateral bending spring.

Helical Couplings / Beam Couplings

• Beam or Helical couplings are flexible shaft couplings designed to transmit torque between shafts. Due to their curved beam configurations which allow angular movement, they can accommodate misalignments and axial motion, unlike traditional rigid couplings.

U Joints / Universal Joints

• Universal joints are mechanical components that connect rotating shafts that meet at perpendicular angles. U joints transmit torque and motion between connecting components and are used in several applications, especially when addressing substantial angular misalignments.

Ameriflex —— Formed Metal Bellows

• Ameriflex bellows and expansion joints are designed to absorb and reduce vibration and relieve structural stress from pressurized environments, extreme temperatures, and other variables. We produce metal bellows in sizes ranging from 0.25” I.D. through 48” I.D., and wall thicknesses from 0.002” through 0.056” in either single-ply or multi-ply configurations. Our metal bellows are manufactured from several metals, including stainless steel, Inconel, Hastelloy, titanium, Monel, phosphorous bronze, copper, and brass.
