Founded in 2023, SCI Semiconductor is a fabless chip vendor developing devices and critical IP for inherently secure applications using CHERI (Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instruction) technology.

Memory safety issues account for over 70% of critical vulnerabilities, leading to more than $10.5 trillion in exploits by 2025. At the same time, the rise of software reuse has introduced significant risks from “Software of Unknown Provenance,” embedding flaws and potential backdoors into products.

SCI’s ICENI platform, developed in partnership with Microsoft and Google, delivers fully memory-safe microcontrollers. The technology rapidly identifies and mitigates code issues, constraining the “blast radius” of any remaining flaws. This enables fast development without compromising security.
