COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — August 25, 2026 — Desert Glass Works (DGW), a precision quartzware manufacturer serving the global semiconductor industry, today announced its expansion into the Taiwan market. DGW will make its Taiwan debut at SEMICON Taiwan 2026, taking place September 2–4 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, where the company will co-exhibit within the Colorado U.S. Pavilion at booth S7330.
The move comes as Taiwan's semiconductor fabs undergo one of the most significant expansion waves in the industry's history, with up to 10 new fabs reportedly under construction or starting production on the island in 2026, according to TrendForce. As fabs scale capacity, DGW is positioning itself as a de-risked alternative in the quartz supply chain for the diffusion components fabs depend on daily.

Founded in 1986 and manufacturing in Colorado Springs since 1988, DGW produces more than 20 types of precision quartz components for horizontal and vertical diffusion applications, including dispersion plates, tanks, injectors, bell jars, chambers, tubes, liners, boats, pedestals, capsules, ampules, fittings, and rods. Its CAD-driven laser cutting, machining, and lathe work support bores from 3 mm to 330mm, and its repair services restore components at roughly half the cost of replacement. At SEMICON Taiwan, company representatives will be at booth S7330 to meet with fab engineering and procurement teams, and with trade and government representatives, to discuss supply-chain resilience and custom quartzware solutions.
