Overview

At maxon, we develop and build high-precision electric drive systems that are among the best in the world. We combine brushed and brushless DC motors, gearheads, sensors, and controllers into complete mechatronic drive systems. Our drives are ideal for semiconductor applications because of their size, reliability and service life.

For more than 50 years, we have focused on customer-specific solutions, quality, and innovation. As a result, our modular product range has constantly been expanded and now includes:

  • Brushless and brushed DC motors
  • Brushless flat motors
  • Planetary gearheads, spur gearheads, special gearheads
  • Sensors
  • Servo amplifiers, positioning controllers
  • High-tech CIM and MIM components
  • Custom drives

  Press Releases

  • maxon, a global leader in high-precision drive systems, is pleased to announce its participation at SEMICON West 2025, taking place September 7–9 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Maxon will exhibit at Booth #1946, presenting our latest innovations in motion control for semiconductor and microelectronics applications, including a live goniometer stage demo.

maxon will present a live demonstration of its multi-axis goniometer stage, designed for ultra-precise angular positioning in wafer inspection, photonics alignment, and metrology systems. The demo will highlight:

    • Sub-micron resolution
    • Closed-loop feedback with integrated encoders
    • Smooth, vibration-free motion
    • EtherCAT and CANopen compatibility

Experts will be on hand to discuss custom drive configurations, integration support, and application-specific solutions.

    Booth Location: 1046
