Litz wire is a specialized type of wire made by weaving many individual insulated fine strands of wire together in a uniform pattern. It is designed to reduce the skin effect and proximity effect that occur in high-frequency AC applications thereby lowering resistance and energy losses. This makes Litz wire highly effective for use in high-frequency inductors, transformers, motors and other electronic devices where efficiency is critical.

Our SQLW Litz wire uses square wires to achieve higher efficacy compared to standard round wires. Compared with conventional round Litz wire, Square Litz wire can improve copper filling factor by about 20% by eliminating the unwanted gaps. Also by lowering the resistance value by about 10-20% and by improving the heat dissipation capabilities thanks to the superior surface contact enabled by SQLW's rectangular/square shape, can conduct more electricity. SQLW can also make your coil size smaller while keeping the same level of coil performance allowing a smaller package design for your application.

Glass to Metal Hermetically sealed components for various applications are designed and fabricated based on decades of experience and originally developed technologies. We offer 2 types of hermetic seals, (1) Matched seal & (2) Compression seal.

Matched seal: Thermal expansion coefficients of metal and glass are matched over a wide range which gives this type of seal with high degree of freedom in shape and is relatively light weight. Materials such as Kovar, Fe-NI alloy and borosilicate glass are used.

Compression seal: Glass is reinforced with pre-set compression stress by making use of the difference in thermal expansion of metal and glass. This type of seal needs cylindrical shape of glass and has high mechanical strength. Materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, Fe-NI alloy and Soda barium glass are used.
