Overview

Plasmatreat’s Openair‑Plasma® and REDOX® technologies transform semiconductor manufacturing with powerful, inline plasma surface treatment—no vacuum, no solvents. From wafer cleaning to die and wire bonding, our systems deliver ultra-fine cleaning, oxide reduction, and surface activation at high speed and low cost.

We improve adhesion, solderability, and reliability while reducing defects and cycle time. REDOX® enables inline, flux-free oxide removal with N₂/H₂ plasma—perfect for power modules and sensitive devices. All treatments are potential-free (<1 V) and fully integrable into your existing production line.

See how we’re enabling next-gen packaging, higher yields, and cleaner, more efficient production—visit us at Booth 1944!

  Press Releases

  • Phoenix, Arizona – October 7, 2025 – Plasmatreat, a global leader in atmospheric plasma technology, is set to showcase its cutting-edge solutions for semiconductor manufacturing at SEMICON West 2025, taking place from October 7–9, 2025, at the Phoenix Convention Center.

At the forefront of Plasmatreat‘s presentation is the REDOX®-Tool, an innovative solution designed to reduce metal oxide layers on electronic components under atmospheric pressure. This chemical-free process enhances the reliability and performance of electronic devices by ensuring cleaner surfaces for subsequent processing steps.

Key Highlights at SEMICON West 2025:

At this year’s event, Plasmatreat will demonstrate its powerful Openair-Plasma® surface treatment solution, a proven technology that enables highly effective cleaning, activation, and modification of surfaces under atmospheric pressure. These plasma processes are critical in semiconductor manufacturing, where even the smallest contaminants can impact yield, adhesion, and overall device performance.

In addition to live demonstrations of Openair-Plasma, Plasmatreat will highlight its REDOX®-Tool, an advanced inline oxide reduction system designed to remove metal oxide layers without chemicals. While not demonstrated at the show, the REDOX®-Tool exemplifies Plasmatreat’s commitment to developing environmentally friendly, high-precision alternatives to conventional surface preparation methods.

“As semiconductor structures continue to shrink and performance requirements rise, reliable surface treatment becomes more important than ever,” said Hardev Grewal, President and CEO of Plasmatreat North America. “Our Openair-Plasma® technology offers manufacturers a scalable, eco-friendly solution to improve process reliability, yield, and long-term device performance.”
